Polyken 627-20 Shadowlastic® Plus is a specialized flashing tape designed for window and door installations, effectively sealing corner board abutments, sidewall sheathing seams, and deck-to-wall joints, as well as other areas vulnerable to water and air infiltration. Featuring a woven polyethylene backing, this tape is both conformable and durable, offering superior air and moisture barrier capabilities, and is suitable for outdoor use with up to 3 years of UV exposure. The butyl rubber adhesive ensures a permanent weather-tight seal on most clean, dry surfaces, demonstrating good performance across various temperatures and compatibility with sealants and caulking. Additionally, it possesses self-healing properties after puncture, and when applied correctly, it can help meet the criteria for EA Credit 1 (Optimize Energy Performance) in LEED® certification.
